The California HomeSchooler is published bi-monthly by the HomeSchool Association of California (HSC), and is a benefit of membership in HSC. This newsletter/magazine is filled with helpful articles and resources for homeschoolers.
Each issue includes a variety of articles on a feature topic. Recent topics have included martial arts, transitions to school, support groups, "not back to school," the male perspective on homeschooling, and learning in the kitchen and garden. Each issue also includes regular columns from longtime homeschooling gurus; county contacts; information on HSC campouts and other events; and legal updates.
The California HomeSchooler accepts ads related to homeschooling or education. Advertisers, please read our ad letter (pdf, 428K), which includes ad rates, ad specifications, and closing dates.
HSC welcomes articles, photographs, or other material for publication in the newsletter. Articles should be mailed or e-mailed to the editor. Please send digital photos via e-mail at the highest resolution available. Please enclosed a self-addressed, stamped envelope to have print photos returned. HSC reserves the right to determine what material will be published. HSC holds the copyright for all material in the newsletter.
